About AFI
We
are a CPA firm which operates in Atlanta, Georgia. The firm was
established in September 1999 by Julie A.H. Coppinger. The location of
our clients vary. In some cases, we have never met face to face. Our
consulting staff is fluid and based on our project needs. Almost
all of our consultants have consistently worked with us since the
beginning. The average experience for our consultants is
fifteen years.
Our
founder is Julie A.H. Coppinger and the primary
contact person for projects. She has over eleven years
experience in industry and another eight years of experience
in consulting. Her background is in distribution,
wholesale, technology, manufacturing, mineral exploration, property
management, and food / beverage industries with exposure to AHA
(Atlanta Housing Authority), aviation, antiques, consignments, and
healthcare operations. She has her CPA and CITP (Certified
Information Technology Professional) and is part of the following

Created a process to assemble millions of fixed asset
records from 420+ business units which were stored in 30+ IT platforms such as
AS/400s, S/36s, LAN applications, and MS Access databases
- Assisted as Data Migration consultant in a SAP FI/CO
ERP project * Created e-trails to validate migrated data * Designed a tool to
convert and upload trial balances in multiple currencies * Created a means to
train and collaborate virtually with teams in Canada, Georgia, Florida, and
France * Helped resolve migration issues for Master Data such as Vendor,
Customer, Fixed Asset, Banking, Chart of Accounts, and General Ledger
- Developed scalable tools to automate data import into
property tax and sales tax applications covering 46 states, decreasing the
processing time from several weeks to one / two days
Created, implemented, tested, trained, and documented
custom MS Access database applications by:
(1) managing the location of tax documents – 300+ records (2) streamlining
invoices and approval processes, (3) identifying personal usage of company’s
aircrafts for tax purposes, and (4) consolidating all database tools used by
tax department while maintaining a secure environment
- Developed an executive mandated forecasting tool to
predict fixed asset amounts for multiple business units while maintaining
strict interdepartment confidentiality
- Created and provided training classes for MS Access, MS Excel, Infinium, i-Series, SurPass,
Monarch, and FRx Reporting
Resolved business transaction, security, and process
issues for a mature residential construction company in Florida, improving system performance by 15+%
- Developed data management tools and processes for a
paperless work environment
